THIS WEEK: Friday, April 5th, First Fridays in the Arts District is back to celebrate the Richmond Arts District with happy hour specials, store and sidewalk sales, vendor markets, opening exhibits, live performances, community celebrations & more throughout the Arts District’s galleries, restaurants, and shops.

Celebrate the Richmond Arts District’s newest tattoo shop and storefront! There will be a raffle for a FREE tattoo, games and a Mystics Markets vendor market all happening during April 5th’s First Fridays in the Richmond Arts District!

PLF’s PyroCircus
5-10PM at Gallery5

The PLF PyroCircus returns to Gallery5 for their first event of the year featuring DJ entertainment (begins at 5PM) and fire performances (starts at 7PM).

Sculpting History at the Valentine Studio: Art, Power, and the “Lost Cause” American Myth
Open until 9PM at The Valentine 

Sculpting History uses artworks sculpted by Edward Valentine as well as documents, objects, images, quotations, and questions to connect the Lost Cause myth to today. A powerful multimedia presentation reveals links between the Lost Cause campaign, Edward Valentine, and Richmond’s monuments. Guests are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences and share their vision of the future.
