DNA Mission Statement

We are nurturing the growth of downtown by amplifying art, life, and local business. This is the heart of our city, and we support our neighbors: restaurants and galleries, artists and architects, businesses, residents and nonprofits. We uplift our history because it shapes our future. We champion the arts and stand up for our community’s character. We advocate for development that provides community benefit. Together, we’re cultivating a stronger neighborhood, where both locals and visitors can feel connected to this place called Richmond.

Purpose of DNA Membership

Membership in the Downtown Neighborhood Association serves to create a sense of belonging and community in the downtown area. It provides financial support to the DNA, a nonprofit organization, and helps DNA advance its mission to nurture the growth of downtown by amplifying art, life, and local business.

In addition to the specific benefits outlined below, membership to the DNA provides broad benefits like access to the prominent downtown arts community, access to larger advocacy efforts and dialogues with the City of Richmond and other city-focused organizations, access to critical information, including economic development opportunities and, neighborhood-wide marketing efforts.

Residential Membership: $25

●        A welcome bag with a DNA member card that includes discounts for participating neighborhood restaurants, retails spaces, and other businesses.

●        Invitations to quarterly neighborhood socials

●        Invitations to new business openings affiliated with DNA

●        Invitation to participate on DNA committees like Membership and Marketing

Tier 1 or New Business Membership: $50

●        A welcome bag with a DNA member card that includes discounts for participating neighborhood restaurants, retails spaces, and other businesses.

●        Invitation to quarterly neighborhood socials

●        VIP Invitations to new business openings affiliated with DNA

●        Listing in the DNA / RAD directory

●        Invitation to participate on DNA committees like Membership and Marketing

Tier 2 Business Membership - $100

All of the benefits listed above, plus:

●        Business name / logo featured on DNA/RAD Website

●        Opportunity to sponsor and host a quarterly social to feature your business

●        Business “Spotlight” on Instagram once a year in the month of your choice.

●        Business “Spotlight” on EXTERNAL emails/enewsletters once a year in the month of your choice.
